Incredible website! I feel incredibly lucky to join everyone
else in recognizing your excellence as a teacher and a musician. But I
believe you should also add Musical Therapist to your many titles, because
every time I leave a lesson I am pumped........and this is coming from a
social worker!

Duke,
Incredible site! First, thanks so much for working with me. My interest in
the bass grows with every lesson and I know that would not be true with just any
teacher. And for anybody interested in lessons from Duke, let me tell you this: With all
the lessons I've taken in many different areas, I went over things time and time again
with the instructor and often got bored before I'd even learned anything. Every one
of my lessons with Duke has been fresh and though I'm only there a short while,
I've never left feeling like I didn't totally get a hold of what he was teaching.
Thanks Duke. Keep up with the charged attitude. At each lesson you are so
excited to be teaching...even when I'm the last session of the night!....now that's an
inspired teacher.

8:34 pm 5/31/2001 Duke, I love you! Can I get a witness? Lemme break it down; I was an eight year-old little girl with a
classical on my knee learning to sightread from the best, most loving, creative, passionate and committed
teacher out there. Do you truly realize the scope of your impact on the lives of those of us lucky enough to
count you, not only as Teacher, but also as Friend? You have been a touchstone in my life for the last 20 or so
years, and I couldn't be more blessed! Magical Bunnies Deeeee-light!!! He-Hee!! I love the website- It is the
ultimate digitization of the musical hub that you are! Love and light always, Jessi |

Duke, Love the new website!
OK, for those of you who don't know Duke - last week, I came in for a lesson (and you can learn more from Duke
in 30 minutes than you can in a semester of college!) and here's this 9 year-old girl sight reading music with a
full-sized guitar in her lap and here I am, almost 48, embarrassed and envious at the same time because she
found Duke so early in life. I mean she's gonna be a chainsaw! We both got a great lesson that day. And the
new CD helps tremendously with lead guitar and vocal work!
Anyway, for those of you out there looking for a GREAT teacher, DUKE is the man!
He will teach you as much (or as little) as you can handle each and every lesson. NO HOLDING BACK!
Your friend and student, Mike Reich.

Scott Bowles 9:41 AM 5/26/2001 Hey Duke! You rock! This is Scott Bowles. How have you been doing? I
came across your website and thought I'd email you. I still talk to people
about you all the time. I learned so much in those 2 years. Those days in
your basement were some of the best times. I remember your Mesa Boogie Mark
IV and the awesome tone it had. I'm still looking for that tone without
paying $1500. Anyway, it was great to see your site. Hope things are going
well for you.

6:40 PM 5/23 Hi Duke,
What an awesome website you have going on there! I am very impressed with it! I love the colors and the philosophies, especially as in how they apply to life. Also, I agree that some of life's best moments happen in relation to music.
It was good to get a boost of Duke-energy via your
website this morning.
Peace to you--

Duke, great web site! Only I know what practice, practice and practice it takes to be a great musician (since I had the room next door). You are the
coolest guitar player and the best brother. |

5/20/01, 4:11 PM Duke - we love the philosophy & looks of your site. As I've often said (and you've often disputed) you ARE the coolest
person in the universe. Are you actually looking for new business? Is what you do actually a JOB??? Be very careful,
you wouldn't want your lifestyle to turn into work! Seriously though, you're one of the best teachers and finest people
we've ever known. Jam on! |
